Doak Jones, Deacon of Treasury |
Doak was born and raised in Dallas where he graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1972. It was there he met his wife Gloria. Both accepted Christ at a Lay Witness Mission in 1969 while attending Lake Highlands Methodist Church where Gloria’s father was an Associate Pastor. They were married in 1974 and have two sons, Jeff and Chris. Doak and Gloria have been members of Grand Prairie Bible Church since 1981. Doak is a senior operations research analyst with Sabre Holdings (parent company of Travelocity). He joined American Airlines (previous parent company of Sabre Holdings) in 1980. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University and a M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington.
