Brad Diggs, Deacon of Information Technology |
Brad grew up in the vicinity of Tulsa Oklahoma. He has spent most of his life tinkering with technology. He squeezed his four year Bachelors of Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Oklahoma into six years, graduating in 1994. Upon graduation, he went to work at IBM, then EDS, and then on to Sun Microsystems. It wasn't long after graduation before he met the love of his life, Renee. Brad and Renee got married on June first, 1996. Brad and Renee have five children: Peter Marshall, Cayce Ana, Benjamin Burnham, Nathaniel (Nate) Elliot, and Noah Henry. When Brad isn't savoring time with his family, church, or volleyball, you will most likely find him on a computer somewhere. With respect to GPBC's computers Brad rescued GPBC from the bondage of a forever crashing Microsoft Windows Server 2000 by replacing it with a stable Unix server. The longest uptime thus far of that stable Unix computer is over 300 days. After managing all of GPBC's compters for more than four years, the GPBC leadership asked Brad to formalize his role as the Deacon of Information Technology at GPBC. He gladly accepted and is now happily serving in that capacity.
