They
were continually devoting themselves
to
the apostles' teaching and to fellowship,
to
the breaking of bread and to prayer.
(Acts
2:42)
At G.P.B.C., we believe the ministry of prayer is a privilege of
grace and a high priority. Jesus Christ died and rose again to give
us confident access to the throne of grace. God has given us His
Spirit - the "Spirit of adoption, by whom we call out 'Abba,
Father'" - to nurture our dialogue with Him.
Wednesday
PM Prayer Meeting
Every Wednesday night, people gather at 7PM at the church for prayer
for the church (our people & ministries), our witness, our
missionaries, and other appropriate needs. This is not a teaching
time with a brief allowance for prayer; it is entirely devoted to
prayer.
Other Ministries of Prayer
We make prayer a priority each week in our Flocks (home groups). We
sometimes call a special gathering for prayer (National Day of
Prayer, national elections, crises in church or nation).
