Before Jesus ascended to the Father, He left very clear marching orders: "you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses" (Acts 1:8). However glorious this assignment is, it is here we find the church's greatest failure. Joe Aldrich wrote in his book, Lifestyle Evangelism, that within two years of coming to Christ the average Christian has no significant relationships with unbelievers.

At Grand Prairie Bible Church we are committed to equipping all the saints to be winsome, effective, intentional witnesses in our communities. Evangelism Explosion is an evangelism training ministry, designed to impart the skills of effective witnessing: evangelistic prayer, personal engagement, and a strong grasp of the gospel message. We started an E.E. ministry at GPBC in September, 2006. We plan to offer it every Fall and Spring for adults, and every Summer for youth. It is a thirteen week program (one night per week) featuring both classroom instruction and on-the-job training in witnessing.
